Camera Movement and Editing

 

1) Crane was used to show the dramatic attempted escape of the captain who was said to be the next murderer by his own invention. The crane further induces dramatic entrance and shows that the police are not dealing with some ordinary man. The use of Pan also further shows that the captain is really quick with his movements even tricking the camera man. Lastly handheld camera were used to show realism and the urgency of the situation making you believe this is all real!!

2) The use of pace in the editing shows how the captain is quick and sharp with his movements further demonstrating his hierarchy among his fellow colleagues. Lastly, the use of dissolve shows that he already know they are after him and is running away causing more tension to build and also a lot more excitement.

3) 2 camera angles were used in the scene which were long shot and extreme close up. Long shot communicated to the audience that he was surrounded by the police and had nowhere to go and the extreme close up showed the audience tension building up as you could see the sweat on his fake is droplets.
