Camera Movement and Editing

  1)   Crane was used to show the dramatic attempted escape of the captain who was said to be the next murderer by his own invention. The crane further induces dramatic entrance and shows that the police are not dealing with some ordinary man. The use of Pan also further shows that the captain is really quick with his movements even tricking the camera man. Lastly handheld camera were used to show realism and the urgency of the situation making you believe this is all real!! 2) The use of pace in the editing shows how the captain is quick and sharp with his movements further demonstrating his hierarchy among his fellow colleagues. Lastly, the use of dissolve shows that he already know they are after him and is running away causing more tension to build and also a lot more excitement. 3) 2 camera angles were used in the scene which were long shot and extreme close up. Denotation and Connotation

  1)  I can see a boy clearly sad looking into the camera. I can also see houses behind and the sun shining brightly on the boy.I can also see a run down and destroyed/ corroding wall next to the boy.   2) I can infer that the boy is water-deprived and is clearly distressed. Also i can see he is sad and evidently needs something. Also the run down wall further shows his need for urgent help from other people and really needs some aid as soon as possible 3) Overall, this advert helps communicate to the audience of how severe of a situation they are in and clearly are in distress and need urgent help. 1) I can see a coca cola bottle and a glass of coca cola filled to  the top and splashing around. I can see light/sunshine and i can also see ice cubes inside of the cup. 2) The advert builds up on the slogan Coca cola is the best. The connotation of the splashing coca cola implies how tasty/delectable coca cola is giving the user the best time of their life. Also the sun...

Doctor who HW

 Doctor Who scene HW/ Class task: 1 ) Close shot: The characters shoulder and face shown to emphasise/define their expressions. This is shown in the beginning when they were all on a call defining their expressions more boldly and making the audience more aware of what will possibly happen next. Establishing shot:   The surrounding landscape is shown to make the audience more aware of the setting and where the movie is being set. This will make the audience intrigued as they will want to know more about the surrounding zone they are in. Long Shot:  A shot taken at a great distance from the subject from head to toe to show their relation to the surrounding environment.
